1) A talk session on ‘Caring for Caregivers’ was broadcast on April 22, as Episode-993 of Dr.KK’s Med Talks featuring Aman Batish, Co-founder Manas Mitra. The session highlighted the issues faced by family carers/caregivers of persons with mental illness along with strategies to resolve their concerns.

2) The first meeting of Haryana State Mental Health Authority was held on April 25. A letter highlighting the expected impact of some of the provisions in the proposed Rules & Regulations on the interests of caregivers of persons with mental illness was submitted by Mr. Aman Batish, Member SMHA (as representative of caregivers).
3) A presentation on the proposed ‘Assisted Living’ Community project at Karnal for families of persons with mental illness was held on May 10, for private psychiatrists of Panipat. The project details including the layout, design, and financial models were presented. The project was well received. Some valuable suggestions and feedback were also shared by the doctors along with an assurance of help.
