Manas Mitra celebrated its annual cultural program-Krishnotsav for specially-abled children on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami on 21 August 2024 at Amarjyoti Special School, Karnal.
52 students from Amarjyoti Special School and 7 Students from Nirmal Jot, Charitable Trust participated in the event with the help and support of their teachers and parents.
The students gave heart-warming performances that included group dance, fancy dress, singing and recitation performances and made beautiful painting and craft work on the theme of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. The tireless efforts of their teachers and parents brought out the best in the children and made their performances a treat to watch and a delight for the soul.
The event was attended by Dr. R.C. Upadhyay (Retd. Senior Scientist, NDRI, Karnal), Mrs. Santosh Sharma (Retd. Teacher) along with Sh. Dinesh Munjal (Chairman, Nirmal Jot Charitable Trust).
The dignitaries presented appreciation certificates and trophies to all the students and their teachers on behalf of Manas Mitra.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by Sister Gladis (Principal, Amarjyoti Special School). Thereafter all the students, teachers and guests participated in a free-for-all dance on Harinaam Kirtan. Refreshments were provided to all the participants on behalf of Manas Mitra.
