Art Work Stall at Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri, Delhi
A Report

Team Manas Mitra participated and put up a stall at the ‘Diwali Utsav Career Fair’ organised by Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri Delhi. Several NGOs working with specially-abled children participated in this event and exhibited the art and craft work done by their students in this fair. The art work done by children was also put up for sale to encourage these children.
Manas Mitra displayed the work of Radhika Kashyap, an 18 year old girl with Autism. Her work included paintings, pottery and resin art, which she does under the help and guidance of her mother Anshu Kashyap who is herself a post graduate in fine arts and is also running an Art Centre started recently by Manas Mitra in Ghaziabad. Radhika’s work received an enthusiastic response and 3 of her paintings and a couple of resin-art works were sold during the exhibition.
In addition, this event provided a great opportunity to interact with other NGOs working in this domain and get a first hand idea of the solutions and services being provided by them along with the problems and issues faced by them. The vision and objectives of Manas Mitra were discussed in person with several representatives of NGOs and caregiver parents as well. Manas Mitra’s unique caregiver-centric approach and solutions were well received and many parents expressed willingness to get associated with this vision and work on it.
